Hi, need to submit a 250 words essay on the topic Read the story of Paul’s Conversion described by Luke in Acts of the Apostles Chapter 9.

His mission was to wipe the religion completely from the surface of the earth.

Along the way to Damascus, Saul encounters with God’s power, a very bright light that sent him to the ground flashed around him. In addition, a sound confronted him on his persecution mission. He could not see anything as the encounter had made him blind. He remained blind for three days. Ananias was sent to go and pray for Saul. After the conversion, Saul continued living with the disciple. This amazed many people as the story of Saul persecuting Christians had spread all over the place. The name change to Paul was quite significant as it indicated a total conversion of the Former persecutor to a gospel minister. As such, a large number who new Saul as an evil person will not be swayed by their former knowledge of the person, Bryant (2009).

This conversion is very important to a contemporary Christian. When God sent Ananias to plead for Saul, God said that he has chosen Saul as a gospel minister. This implies that many of the modern Christians have huge roles in the gospel ministries only that they have not encountered God for a conversion.

As for my personal thought of this conversion, I believe that every Christian encounters such episode as Saul. It may not exactly be like that described in the bible that involves a voice from heaven or the lighting that made him blind. No. God manifest ton us in various ways with intentions of changing our life so as to serve Him

Your main post must be at least 150 words. It should include citations and references to support your conclusions.

For this discussion you characterize a transcriptional regulatory system like the ones just described. However, for our purposes this should be entirely fictional. You can even invent your own bacterial species!!

In your initial discussion board post, please include the following:

1. Make up an operon, the regulatory proteins, the cellular process and the molecules being “sensed”.

2. Describe your fictional operon with legitimate details about the orientation of the genes and the promoter/operator sequences or activator binding site.

3. Provide details about the repressor/activator and inducer/inhibitor proteins.

4. Explain how the operon helps your pathogen survive and possibly thrive in its host.

5. Include details about conditions that trigger expression of the gene(s).

Gene expression is regulated at many levels in bacteria. Figure 14.1 in your textbook displays a summary of regulatory mechanisms used to control gene expression. The expression of bacterial genes is controlled by the action of diffusible repressors and activators. Tetracycline is an antibiotic used to treat respiratory infections, infections of the skin, including acne, and infections of the genitourinary system. Over time however, many bacteria have become resistant to tetracycline. The mechanism often utilized by resistant strains is the synthesis and use of an efflux pump. While there are multiple types, in general, this pump consists of a membrane?spanning protein that extrudes the antibiotic from the cell. Since efflux pumps are energetically expensive to make, they are only produced when tetracycline is present. A repressor protein, TetR, has been identified and characterized in resistant strains. The efflux?pump is negatively controlled by TetR. TetR binds to the operator region when there is no tetracycline available. When tetracycline is present, TetR is released from the DNA. TetR gene transcription is inhibited by the repressor protein. We can also look at an example of positive control. Regulatory proteins can bind to activator binding sites in the presence of a key nutrient or other chemical in the cell. The cell is “sensing” the presence of this nutrient and theactivator can then turn on genes in response. This is the case with the transcription of fimbriae genes in some pathogens. In order to conserve resources, fimbrial genes are only transcribed when the pathogen is in the nutrient rich environment of the host where the amino acid leucine is abundant. Under these conditions, the pathogen develops fimbriae and attaches itself to the epithelium of the host.

This is an example of what I need done: nothing big

Make up an operon, the regulatory proteins, the cellular process and the molecules being “sensed”.Describe your fictional operon with legitimate details about the orientation of the genes and the promoter/operator sequences or activator binding site.Provide details about the repressor/activator and inducer/inhibitor proteins.Explain how the operon helps your pathogen survive and possibly thrive in its host.Include details about conditions that trigger expression of the gene(s).

Pokrastinatn has 4 operons. This operon uses an enhancer as well as a corepressor to work its magic.

The enhancer attaches itself to the CRP protein causing an increase in its production. When this protein is in high quantities it causes a large amount of fatigue to occur, making naps more prevalent throughout the day. While this enhancer is causing you to become more tired, a corepressor is creating its own mess.

This corepressor binds itself to the transcription factor for the gene for focus. By doing this, it inhibits the production of this gene causing you to lose focus on the task at hand. With this gene repressed the subject finds themselves easily distracted and prone to put things off.

Pokrastinatn is able to excel in its host in a couple of different ways. The first is with the increase in fatigue the host is almost always to tired or lazy to do anything about his condition. The second is with the repressed gene for focus, even when the host isn’t as fatigued he is easily distracted and always says that he will get it checked “tomorrow”.

Conditions that trigger this condition are an increase in tasks that need to be completed, being nagged by your significant other, and shiny objects.

In this assignment you will update the methods section for your research paper and add your introduction and literature review.

The introduction and literature review should address your research question: why it is important, and how prior research does or does not support your hypothesis, as well as providing a background on what we know about this topic.

Please refer to the material on the components of a research paper provided in Module 1 as you work on this document.

Your methods section, in addition to covering the subheadings of participants, instruments, and procedure, must include a fourth subheading called ethical issues and note any ethical issues that need to be considered, as well as how they would be handled.

Be sure to include a title/cover page and a reference page formatted in APA style.

What is your research question?

“At the point when eyewitnesses are questioned by law requirement personnel in an impacting path in regards to a crime scene, will it impact the eye witness’ testimony?”

What is your hypothesis or hypotheses? What is the null hypothesis?

At the point when an eyewitness is being questioned by law enforcement and it is done in an affecting way it will prompt false testimony and distinguishing proof. At the point when an eyewitness is being questioned by law enforcement and it is done in an impacting way it won’t prompt false testimony and recognizable proof.”

How many participants would you like to use and why? What are the inclusion characteristics, i.e., what must they have in order to be included in your study (for example, gender, diagnosis, age, personality traits, etc.)? Are there any exclusion characteristics, i.e. are there certain characteristics that would exclude them from being in your study? Does the sample need to be diverse? Why or why not?

“There truly are no inclusion characteristics for this study with the exception of that participants must be more established than the age of 5, victims of crimes and bystanders of crime can transpire person. Crime does not choose a person based on gender, age, race, area, or religion; in spite of the fact that crime can be more prevail in urban areas than in rustic areas, yet crime still affects the populace in general. I almost needed to prohibit those who abuse drugs or potentially who have a criminal foundation, however that would be biased and all individuals deserve the shot regardless of how they add to society. So after cautious consideration I would not bar anybody from this study! Does .”

“Yes the sample needs to be diverse, because eyewitness testimony can originate from any individual regardless of race, gender, religion, and so forth. It is imperative to incorporate a wide range of participants to get exact results from this study.”

What sampling technique will be used to collect your sample? What population does your sample generalize to?

“Simple random technique is the best alternative given the fact that it facilitates easier and simpler population sampling went with chopping down unnecessary research costs. Be that as it may, the population sample generalizes to adults over 20 years, who are in a position to reason and give the most expected criticism”

What are the variables in your study? HINT: Refer back to your hypothesis or hypotheses.

“This study entails the dependent and independent variables. The independent variable entails the misinformation or inability to gather suitable proof. Then again, the dependent variable comprises of the factors or effects that realize misinformation considering the previously mentioned population sample.”

Provide operational definitions for each variable.

Gender: Relating to a person’s sex.

Age: “The assurance of the quantity of years passed since one’s introduction to the world designed by subtracting the birth year from the present year. On the off chance that the month and day still can’t seem to be come to in the present year, subtract 1.”

Race: “A social idea in which we use to classify humans by anatomical, social, ethnic, hereditary, land, historical, linguistic, religious, as well as social connection. “

Ethnicity: “The classification of person’s as European American, African American, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Latino, Native American, or Other.”

Data: Facts or details about a subject; learning that one obtains from something or someone.

Misinformation: “Information that is erroneous and purposefully false that is spread intentionally. Discussion: The demonstration of talking between a person(s) about a topic(s) to achieve a decision or to trade ideas and data.”

Event: “An event, something that happens, or is viewed as happening(ed) at a specific place inside a specific interim of time. Survey: “Strategy for gathering data or information as announced by individuals. This is a kind of information accumulation known as self-report information, which means that individuals finish the survey (or give the data) themselves”

How will you measure each variable? Discuss the reliability and validity of these measures in general terms.

Gender: “Would be measured ostensibly will be male or female. The is a dependable measure as it measures one’s gender as male or female, which if asked again the answer would be the same. It is also consistently legitimate as it measures what it is expected to measure.”

Age: “Would be measured on an interim scale in the age ranges above. This is a dependable measure because they are either inside the one of the age groups or not. It is also substantial as it provides a measure of one’s age.”

Race: “Will be measured ostensibly in categories of American Indian or Alaska Native,Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, or White. This is dependable as if asked again the individual would answer the question the same as well as substantial because it measures what it is proposed to measure.”

Ethnicity: “Will be measured ostensibly in categories of Hispanic or Latino or Not Hispanic or Latino. It is also dependable as they should answer the question the same each time as well as it is substantial in measuring the proposed data.”

Misinformation: “Will be measured on an ostensible level as well with categories such as got and not got. This data is solid because we will know whether the member got or did not get misinformation. It is substantial because it answers the question of if a member got misinformation or did not”

What technique will be used for data collection (e.g., observation, survey, interview, archival, etc.)?

“Data collection will happen after participants watch videos of crimes and will occur with a paper questionnaire”

What type of research design is being used?

“The study will use correlational research. This research looks for relationships between at least two variables. It this case it will be the relationship of the variables the getting of misinformation and the impact on eyewitness memory and their testimonies. Using the survey is using a quantitative strategy which will be comprised of a survey through questionnaire’s from the participant’s.”

Briefly discuss the procedure that would be followed when conducting the research.

“Participants are being asked to wat a two-minute video of crimes occurring. The member’s will at that point be asked to round out a liquefy step data parcel. The first step iswhat’s called filler tasks, such as Sudoku, word puzzles, mazes, and crossword’s, with a period farthest point of eight minutes. Step two will be an account. One account will portray the events of the video as they happened. The second account will contain misinformation ofthe video viewed. The participants will be given three minutes to peruse the account. When perused, the member’s will finished a questionnaire of the witnessed events containing twenty prompted questions, five of which containing misleading data. Participants in the discussion area will be instructed to discuss the questions with others as a shared session selecting one answer as a gathering to each question. They will be given ten minutes to do as such. This will be trailed by four statistic questions about gender, age, race, and ethnicity in which they are given 5 minutes to finish”

What are some POTENTIAL ethical issues? How might they be addressed?

“The vital ethical challenges that may be stood up to in this research would originate from educated consent, secrecy, setting venture limits and managing impracticable expectations. So, there would need to be research done to ensure these things are finished the right way. Also another ethical issue may originate from the researchable questions posed, so all participants will be completely educated and advised about any cost and potential risk.”

“Through the majority of my research, on eyewitness testimony and the misinformation impact is a trustworthy basis of proof inside our American legal system. It is eyewitnesses obliged to be honest so as to enable justice to be dispensed. So at whatever point you witness a significant event that they have occurred. Prepare to have your spot on the witness stand, and turn into an eyewitness. I trust you are prepared to recall what you have seen precisely.”

For this assignment I chose the topic, “Should changes be made to the regulations for foods that are served in public schools?” This topic hits close to home for me because I currently have children in Elementary school, and I was severely disappointed to witness first-hand the foods that are made available to them during lunch. I believe children would benefit from eating lunches that are made fresh at cafeteria’s every day, in lieu the pre-made frozen items that they are served in cardboard containers. It is truly shameful what is our kids our being served in schools today.

My thesis statement for this assignment is: Regulations for food served in schools should be changed to provide fresh and healthy meals for children which will combat hunger, reduce obesity, and prevent disease. I believe these are the key points which one would consider when evaluating the current situation and future goals of our school’s meal programs. Fundamentally, a meal should first of all be healthy, because if not, what is the point of shoving garbage down our children’s throats, knowing that preservatives and artificial chemicals are linked to disease’s like cancer. Additionally, foods that are mass produced and then re-heated are filled with plenty of chemicals which cause obesity in our youth. Too much sugar and salts, which are necessary for preserving foods, lack the nutritional value that growing children require every day.

Those who will read my paper include, of course, my professor, and fellow classmates. However, I hope that through writing this I am able to learn more about the current situation and what can be done to improve food regulation for my own children, as well as subsequent generations. It may be something that I can email and send to school committees here in my community, and then be able to enact some changes. I want readers of my paper to become aware of the lack of nutrition in our school’s lunch program today. Preliminary research on the subject, as well as first hand observation, has shown me that of the kids who do eat a school provided lunch, about 29% still come home hungry. This is because they flat out do not eat it! They throw them away after picking at what they think will be the most edible and tasty. Policy makers need to know that our tax money is being literally thrown in the trash every school day. It will be my job to persuade them to create regulation that bring back fresh made, healthy hot lunches to our schools every.

The scope of my paper is to highlight three main issues that are caused by the current food program, which as stated in my thesis are to combat hunger, reduce obesity, and prevent disease. It is unfortunate that the current regulations are limiting the number of calories that kids consume as a universal standard. As stated in one article in Time Magazine, author Alexandra Sifferlin elucidates that calorie restrictions are becoming so restrictive, leaving many children hungry after lunch, especially those engaged in after school sports and recreation (Sifferlin,2012) The second issue and focus of the paper is to direct attention to the fact that hot lunches today actually make kids obese. Even though food portions are coming under much tighter guidelines, the foods kids are served are simply reheated chicken tenders, frozen pizza, etc. The whole program now is basically a re-heat and serve process. And the foods are not fresh! According to an article in Readers Digest, children who regularly eat school provided lunches are 29% more likely to become obese than their peers who bring lunch from home. And lastly, I plan to discuss the fact that the preservatives used in school lunch food is linked to disease’s like cancer, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. The problem with school lunches is that they are made with high salt, sugar, and saturated fats, which are having a significant impact on the children among our nation.

So, what is the right program which would improve our children’s health? What foods should be offered, and how should they be prepared? Is there a way to create a program that will suit the need of varying nutritional value, while still remaining fiscally feasible? I think there would be a significant advantage to cooking fresh ingredients every day in an on-campus cafeteria. Foods should be provided through local markets, and monitored by local supervision for quality, and standard. No more frozen, re-heated, mass-produced food for our children. They are too great a resource to waste, and kids deserve to be nourished with healthy and fresh food each and every day.
