Last updated: December 16, 2024
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and CourseLink ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the CourseLink website at courselink.org, mobile applications (including the iOS app "CourseLink - Student Planner"), and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not authorized to access or use the Service. We recommend printing or saving a copy of these Terms for your records.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
3.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible—all your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free and Premium Services
CourseLink offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Free users can access limited features. Premium subscribers ("Pro") gain access to additional features as described on our pricing page.
4.2 Subscription Terms
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processors) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
4.3 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Free trials are limited to one per user. If you have previously used a free trial, you will not be eligible for another trial.
4.4 Automatic Renewal
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Web subscriptions: Through the "Manage Subscription" option in Settings
- iOS in-app purchases: Through your Apple ID subscription settings
4.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle after the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
4.6 Refund Policy
Web subscriptions (Stripe): Refunds may be requested within 7 days of the initial purchase or renewal by contacting contact@courselink.org. Refunds are provided at our discretion and are not guaranteed.
iOS in-app purchases: All purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund for an iOS purchase, you must contact Apple directly through their support channels.
4.7 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (Stripe for web, Apple for iOS). We do not store your complete payment information. You agree to the terms of service of the applicable payment processor.
5. Apple App Store Terms
If you access the Service through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree:
- These Terms are between you and CourseLink, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service
